LAWS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023)
TRIGGER WARNING: CONTAINS LAWS THAT DESCRIBE ACTS OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN DETAIL SUCH AS SECTION 375
Despite having some of the most comprehensive laws in the world, India falls short on implementing them effectively.
The lack of infrastructure and resources to enforce laws and a lack of awareness among the general public about their rights and laws contribute to an increase in lawlessness. To address this, the government and civil society should increase public awareness of laws and provide better training and resources for law enforcement agencies. The goal is to create a just society that upholds the rule of law.
